Notes:

Note the actual consequences, what happened, including your immediate reactions and the other person's immediate reactions. Note the likely consequences too. Do this both short-term and long-term:

  1. Overall consequences
  2. Your immediate reactions
  3. Their immediate reactions
  4. The consequences and likely consequences to you, long-term
  5. The consequences and likely consequences to them, long-term

If the item is so hot for you that you can't think straight and just writing some details like this doesn't cool it off enough, pick one of the other options. Either:

  • end the session and then start a proper Rogerian session on that topic, making use of the different possibilities in all the extra screens. Click on the 2nd link, or
