Tabletop Psychodrama (AltVc1): Example session plans

RoboCounsellor is designed mostly for individuals to plan their own sessions, unless there is a professional available who is trained specifically in this stuff. It is usually a bad idea to decide mid-session on a new plan for the ongoing session. End the session first, take a breather, then work out what to do in the next session.

Here are some sample session plans. You don't have to stick to these, but it might be advisable, at least to begin with. You don't have to do them in the sequence 1, 2, 3, 4. If you want, you can do sessions using 1, 1, 1, 5, 1, 2, 1, 1, 3, 3, 4, 4, or whichever seems appropriate at the time.

Example Session Plan #1
1. Ensure you're ready for the session, with enough food, sleep, not under the influence, and enough time available in a location where you won't get disturbed by the kids, pets, telephone etc.

2. Follow the instructions for the session procedure exactly as given in the session screens, including the notes on the right-hand side.

3. Decide on a topic to address with Table Psychodrama. Pick something in your past. Don't make it too light, as that would be a waste of your time.

4. Do the session per your session plan until you reach a good point, as specified in the General Session End Point page. Then click on the relevant links and write the relevant session-ending information on the session report you have been writing in throughout the session.

Example Session Plan #2
[Points 1, 2 and 4 of the first Session Plan above are understood to apply to each Session that you do, whether you include the written points in your session plan or not]

3. Continue with the same general plan as per Session Plan #1 if you ran out of time to finish it the first time.

Example Session Plan #3
[Points 1, 2 and 4 of the first Session Plan above are understood to apply to each Session that you do, whether you include the written points in your session plan or not]

3. Decide on a topic to address with Table Psychodrama. Pick something still ongoing in your present life. Don't make it too light, as that would be a waste of your time.

Example Session Plan #4
[Points 1, 2 and 4 of the first Session Plan above are understood to apply to each Session that you do, whether you include the written points in your session plan or not]

3. Decide on a topic to address with Table Psychodrama. Pick something stretching into your future life, maybe next week or next year. Don't make it too light, as that would be a waste of your time.

Example Session Plan #5
[Points 1, 2 and 4 of the first Session Plan above are understood to apply to each Session that you do, whether you include the written points in your session plan or not]

3. Follow the instructions in the troubleshooting section. Do the out-of-session steps first; then if needed the first type of session; then if needed the second type of session.
